Composition
The active ingredient of the Insect-Repellent strip is Citronella.
This plant, which originates in the East, gives out a very peculiar smell which, although it is very agreeable for humans, very effectively drives away mosquitos and other insects such as fleas.
ABC Farma applies essential citronella oil to the strips by means of a microencapsulated system, and thus preserves its aroma and properties.
How it works
The insect repellent strip is directly applied on a visible part of the body, with the part impregnated with essence of Citronella towards the outside. After applying it, you must use a fingernail to scratch the surface of the patch lightly in order to release its essence. It provides effective protection in a 50 cm. radius of action.
To achieve the best results, it is advisable to scratch it from time to time. It can only be used once, so after leaving it to act for 8 hours continuously, it loses all of its properties. Its main active components do not enter into direct contact with the skin, so, they are totally harmless to children.
